The ARBED, Blake, Dodge, Universal and Gates variants are identified as historic. The capacity, energy, fragmentation, temperature and wear coefficients are educational and not calibrated on a real installation.
Mass stocks retained, batches mixed by the operator, motor inertia, finished chamber, limited capacity and power, conveyor, screening and return of overclassified items. A stopped machine preserves the material. The rock breaker represents a preparation operation; it neither creates nor removes mass. Dust is a relative index, not a measure of exposure. Sprinkling influences this index; no water balance.
